In October 2023, I sat in a radiology clinic, staring at a screen displaying my newly discovered breast lump. In that sterile room, wearing nothing but a paper gown, I faced one of life's pivotal moments—where a single piece of information creates a cascade of decisions and challenges to navigate.

The technician had casually called it "the dumb lump," but there was nothing simple about the weight of the choices ahead or the conversations to come.

Should I tell my kids immediately? How would I handle different family members? Wait for more information? Seek more opinions? Quit my job? Move to Paris?

Each seemed to branch infinitely, each decision carrying its own web of relationships to navigate.

My journey has been shaped by moments demanding both critical choices and delicate navigation of complex situations, each teaching me something essential about decision-making and conflict transformation:

  • Maternal Navigator: Twenty years guiding my first son through his cleft lip and palate journey, learning to balance medical decisions with family dynamics and advocate effectively with healthcare providers

  • Crisis Management: Making split-second decisions when my 10-year-old faced anaphylactic shock, coordinating family in crisis while realizing that sometimes imperfect action trumps perfect planning

  • Personal Reinvention: Ending a 17-year marriage to rebuild life as a single mother, discovering that transforming conflict into growth brings unexpected strength and new possibilities

  • Critical Turning Point: Guiding my daughter after a suicide attempt, learning to balance protection with empowerment while navigating complex family dynamics and healthcare systems

  • End-of-Life Care: Walking alongside my second husband during his cancer journey, understanding that some situations require both careful decision-making and graceful conflict transformation to maintain dignity

These experiences haven't just shaped me—they've become the foundation of how I serve others. I guide professional women through their own pivotal decisions and challenging situations, offering both the emotional support and practical frameworks I wish I'd had during my transformative moments.

We are a cumulative effect of our choices and how we handle life's challenges - each decision and interaction shapes who we become and the path ahead.

I would be honoured to guide you in making confident decisions & transforming conflicts into opportunities for growth.
