My Proudest Accomplishment: Watching My Children Love Each Other

I have spent the past two days with my three grown children. We took a short mini vacation to the quiet, snow-capped mountains and surrounded ourselves with nature and each other. I used to do this every holiday season, but now that they are getting older, it is often hard to find the time.

What a joy it is for me to bear witness to these young adults. They have faced many life challenges together as siblings—navigating loss, change, and personal struggles. It has not been a smooth ride, but whose life is? What I committed to as their Mom was to create a deep connection with each other. I wanted their relationships to be regenerative, constantly evolving and growing together.

Playing, talking, and laughing together for the past two days has been grounding for me. To witness their relationship with each other is profound. They deeply care for each other; they have a built-in support system that follows them no matter where they are.

I said to them that the relationship they have honed and love for each other is my proudest accomplishment. I am truly blessed.
